 Principal Andy Meyers Prior to establishing AJ Advisers, Mr. Meyers was involved in various transactions in Japan, including overseeing an initial public offering for DoubleClick Inc.'s Japanese subsidiary and assisting the Solo Cup company in acquiring the Japanese disposable kitchenware company, Sanyo Pax. He worked for seven years at the Chase Manhattan Bank and for two years at the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi. From 1994-1996, Mr. Meyers served as Special Adviser to the Ambassador to Japan, Walter Mondale, in a position newly created for him by the Ambassador. In this role, he managed the Ambassador's relationship with key media organizations and formulated the communications strategy to articulate the Embassy's message. Mr. Meyers holds a Masters Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and a BA from Columbia College of Columbia University. His Japanese experience began as an undergraduate when he spent his junior year in college at the International Division of Sophia University in Tokyo. Mr. Meyers is fluent in Japanese. He has served as a translator for Japan's leading financial newspaper, the Nihon Keizai Newspaper, and has worked as a counter cook at Kushihachi, a Japanese restaurant in Kyoto.  Masakazu Urabe After more than 10 years of experience of editing in Fuso Publishing Inc., Fujisankei communications group, Mr. Urabe launched his own business in 1996: DOMO. Through DOMO, he has produced women-oriented websites in Japan such as ELLE online, Caz net, Nicola net etc. He has significant experience in the publishing world, and has helped plan web strategies for VOGUE.com and GQ JAPAN. Most recently Mr. Urabe was involved in the launch of Glam Japan. DOMO clients include Sony Magazines, Yahoo Japan, Dentsu, Hakuhodo, Nikkei BP, Itochu Fashion Systems, and others. Mr. Urabe is also a Guest Lecturer for media communications at the University of Digital Contents.  Keiko Hirano Ms. Hirano has worked in business development for NKV, where she was assigned to their Gurunavi business. Gurunavi is one of the largest restaurant search sites in Japan, if not the world. From there, she worked in the media department of Digital Advertising Consortium, a subsidiary of Dentsu, where she worked with newspapers and women's websites. She now works for Domo. |
